Biography

Rachel Nelson graduated summa cum laude from New York Institute of Technology in 1997. As a single mother, she worked full time as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster and attended law school at night. She graduated from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2003, and was admitted to practice in the State of New York in 2004. During her tenure at law school, Ms. Nelsen was the associate editor in chief of the Moot Court Honor Society an an elected Justice of the Judiciary Board of the Student Bar Association. She competed in moot court competitions both locally and on a national level, and earned numerous awards and scholarships throughout her academic career.

With three decades of experience in the field of workers’ compensation, Ms. Nelsen is uniquely positioned to lead our settlement department and facilitate maximum settlements for our clients. Throughout her career, she has investigated and analyzed claims from all sides including injured workers, employers, witnesses, supervisors and physicians. She has extensive litigation experience in complex claims and has trained new attorneys.
